Housing Specialist, Resource Navigator, Case Manager, Advocate, Policy Admin/Analyst, Engagement Coordinator
I have experience in certified peer counseling advocacy and housing service navigation and case management. I have been a provider of direct services and also worked in policy analyzing and creation/ revision to support the structure of a more equitable and equally accessible way to support people that is meeting the needs of the people and also being sustainable. I have personally struggled with homelessness and learning to navigate the system in place just to get my needs met on the most basic human level, always a discouraging and difficult experience. I want to work to create a system that better supports our clients as well as work to create policies and structures in a system that will allow this to happen regularly and encourage and support teaching providers/ organizations to be low barrier and high accessibility.
