We are looking for a devoted and insightful Housing Counselor to join our robust team, under the close guidance of the Home Ownership Center Manager.

Primary Key Responsibilities Include:

Personalized Counseling & Education

Conduct comprehensive pre-purchase housing and credit counseling services, catering to each client’s unique financial situation.
Facilitate group education workshops, imparting essential knowledge to aspiring homeowners.

Client Journey to Homeownership

Manage a dedicated caseload of clients, assisting them through their home buying process.
Develop personalized budget and credit building strategies, preparing clients for a financially secure homeownership experience.

Community Engagement &Professional Networking

Engage with the community, generating referrals, and promoting our housing counseling
services.
Foster relationships with lenders, realtors, housing developers, and other stakeholders to extend our network of referral sources.

Administrative Excellence

Maintain thorough records through our Client Management System, ensuring al client files are updated regularly per compliance guidelines.
Oversee folow-up paperwork, ensuring aseamless communication line with al referring partners.

Continuous Professional Development

Achieve and maintain certifications from HUD and NeighborWorks, ensuring the highest quality of counseling services.

Qualifications:

A minimum of a 4-year college degree in an applicable field or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the real estate or mortgage industry preferred.
HUD certification as a Housing Counselor (or obtain within 90-days)
NeighborWorks certification in at least one discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with an inclination for quickly learning new software applications.
Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with diverse populations ni both one-on-one and group settings.
A keen analytical mind to assess problems faced by program participants and derive sound conclusions.

Bonus Points:

Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Experience with web-based Client Management Systems is preferred.

Compensation:

Salary Range $40,000 – $55,000 (plus bonus potential).
Based on experience, certifications, productivity, etc.
