Website CICD or Community Investment Corporation of Decatur, Inc

The Community Investment Corporation of Decatur (“CICD”), a not-for-profit (501c3) established in 1991, is seeking applicants for the position of Housing Program Coordinator in Decatur, Illinois. This newly created position is a full-time, exempt position focused on managing an ecosystem whose objective is assisting individuals to become homeowners.

This position will lead the day-to-day operations and help create and develop the expanding Housing Program of CICD. The role is that of a team leader/supervisor and grant administrator who reports to the President of CICD. The successful employee will work well in a team atmosphere, be self-motivated, innovative, creative, and focused on establishing and meeting objectives and deadlines.

CICD exists to better our community, and our mission drives our activities: 1. Promote the common good and general welfare of the Citizens of the City of Decatur; 2. To lessen the burden on the City government and taxpayers; and 3. To combat deterioration in our community. CICD currently has two silos of function: to provide education/ counseling regarding housing, and to provide assistance and funding to small businesses in the City of Decatur.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Housing Program Coordinator are:

*Supervise Housing Program staff and establish/lead a teamwork environment.
*Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns with internal teams and external vendors.
*Develop external relationships and work extensively with local government, partner agencies, and groups.
*Manage and contribute to social media and website content.
*Participate in client counseling.
*Demonstrate proficiency in typical office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
*Communicate clearly and professionally in spoken and written communication.
*Public speaking.
*Be responsible for seeking grant opportunities, completing Housing-related grant applications, and periodic reporting to Grantors and CICD’s Board of Directors.
*Commit to achieving certification as a HUD-certified Housing Counselor within six months (at CICD’s expense).
*Commit to continuing education and training for the job role (at CICD’s expense).
*Ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications and Educational Preferences

*HS diploma or equivalent (Required)
*Associate or Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and life experience (Preferred)
*1-2 years minimum in position-related tasks or similar responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,500.00 – $48,000.00 per year
