HUD Certified Housing Counselor

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $51,000 – $65,000.00 (Pay based on experience and qualifications)

Job Description:
The ideal candidate either possesses their HUD counseling certification or can obtain it within 60 days of employment. This individual will collaborate directly with our existing DRHA HUD Counselor to develop and enhance our housing programs. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

Program Development: Work closely with the DRHA HUD Counselor to develop and expand housing programs, ensuring they meet HUD standards and community needs.

Grant Reporting: Responsible for quarterly and yearly grant reporting, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements and deadlines.

Collaboration: Collaborate with the Danville HUD Counselor on various programs and initiatives to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.

Homeownership Program Support: Assist in the administration of the homeownership program, providing guidance and support to participants as needed.

New Developments: Play a vital role in the development and implementation of new initiatives within the homeownership program, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

HUD Certification: Possess or be willing to obtain HUD counseling certification within 60 days of employment.

Experience: Previous experience in housing counseling, community development, or related fields preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse populations.

Team Player: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
